Pineapple helps with inflammation



 Pineapple is useful with many substances, but one of them is that it contains bromelain , which is known for its anti-inflammatory, antithrombotic and fibrinolytic properties. Some studies have shown that, thanks to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, bromelain can serve as a safe alternative for the treatment of osteoarthritis .

 

Pineapple also contains many polyphenols and flavonoids - these are phenolic compounds that have powerful antioxidant properties . They can prevent the appearance of various diseases - cancer, cardiovascular diseases and various chronic diseases by neutralizing free radicals in the body. Pineapple is also rich in fiber , which stimulates intestinal transit and helps increase satiety.


 

Fresh pineapple and its juice are valuable sources of manganese, which acts as a cofactor for several enzymes that facilitate numerous metabolic processes. Manganese is important in preventing damage caused by free radicals and oxidative stress.

 

Pineapple - fresh, canned or juiced is an excellent source of honey. As a component of several enzymes, the element copper is necessary for the formation of hemoglobin and collagen  , a protein important for the structure and repair of tissues in the body. Several copper-containing enzymes also contribute to the body's defense against free radicals.

 

Fresh, canned, and pineapple juice are good sources of vitamin C. Vitamin C has antioxidant properties and helps reduce oxidation and inflammation in the body, and also has a protective effect against the onset of certain degenerative diseases associated with aging .

 

Pineapple is a rich source of vitamin B1, also known as thiamine, it is part of a coenzyme necessary for the production of energy , mainly from the carbohydrates we take in with food . It is also involved in the transmission of nerve impulses and supports normal growth. Pineapple is also a source of vitamin B6, also called pyridoxine, which is part of coenzymes that are involved in the metabolism of proteins and fatty acids, as well as in the production of neurotransmitters. It also contributes to the production of red blood cells and favors the transfer of oxygen. Pyridoxine is also necessary for the conversion of glycogen into glucose and contributes to the proper functioning of the immune system . This vitamin plays an important role in the formation of certain components ofnerve cells and in the modulation of hormone receptors.
